BFCC General Information
BFCC is a little different from many bike
clubs in that the whole club gets together
and rides on Wed nights. It is a lot of fun
riding with 100 or so other club riders and
you often cross paths on the back roads.
BFCC is also basically a road bike club, we
try to support a casual D group but the
coverage for the D ride can be spotty. If you
are looking for a D ride please drop a note
to bill@bedminsterflyers.com and I will put
you in touch with a D group leader.
When riding with any group, you need to
match your ability with the group and don't
stretch it by riding with a group above your
ability. Group riding has its own set of
challenges and road riding has serious
consequences when thing go wrong. Even
the best riders have had life impacting
crashes. Not only can you take out other
riders in a crash, any crash ruins the ride for
everyone and even a minor crash can end
your riding season.
Helmets are required for all
rides! Ride leaders who let riders go out
without helmets are shot on site.

- Promote a safe riding environment by calling out road
hazards or any hazard
- Cars
- Pot Holes
- Signal / call out your intentions
- Passing
- turns
- Stopping
- All laws must be obeyed highlighting
- Stopping at traffic lights
- Riding single when required - NJ Law
- Helmets are required
- Aero bars are not to be used on BFCC rides
- Guests must register for rides noting emergency contact
information - Club members must keep emergency contact information
current - The Ride Leader reserves the right to remove any rider who
presents a risk to the group by offering the rider a "way-
home" route - BFCC reserves the right to ban unsafe cyclists or those that
do not adhere to club rules and promote a safe/fun cycling
atmosphere
