Triathlon websites:

  • Inside Triathlon
A decent website, its' content is primarily from two long-time print publications (Inside Triathlon and Triathlete). If you want to subscribe, Inside Tri is by far the better magazine. Triathlete has frequent typos and factual errors, which can be grating.
  • Ironman®
The official online portal of Ironman and Ironman 70.3 events. For information about qualifiers for the World Championships in Kona and Las Vegas, this is the place to start. They do no reporting of non-series events. To their credit they've recently broken a long-standing habit of refusing to list competitor events by name. Their product reviews are thinly veiled advertisements for their licensees.
  • Lava
Both the website and magazine are affiliated with Ironman, but with an inclusive attitude towards non-series events.
  • Slowtwitch
This site was created by an early pioneer of tri-bikes and wetsuits, Dan Empfield. His commentary and articles are occasionally technical, and always thoughtful and intelligent. A popular feature of the site is the Forum. It has many posts as worth reading as Dan's articles – but be prepared to sift through a LOT of junk to find them.
